Discover Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia with TAS Baltics

We are you key to the Baltic States!
Estonia
Estonia lies along the Baltic Sea, just below Finland. Tallinn, Estonia’s capital is only about 40 miles south of Helsinki, across the Gulf of Finland. One of the best-preserved Medieval Old Towns in Northern Europe is Tallinn. It has been included in the List of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Old Town of Tallinn is a romantic network of crooked cobblestone streets, preserved authentically from the Middle Ages. Churches and convents, passageways and courtyards, imposing merchants` dwelling houses, shelters, and parks give a sense of the true medieval spirit underlying the Old Town up to now. But not only Tallinn attract tourists to Estonia – picturesque National Parks, gorgeous Manor Houses, beautiful Saaremaa Island, summer capital of Estonia – sea resort Parnu, historical city Tartu with the oldest university of the Baltic States and many other interesting sites, attractive for tourists.
Latvia
Latvia is considered to be a heart of the Baltic States. There are no high mountains or deserts in Latvia, but Latvia still has a lot to offer to tourists, coming to this wonderful country: tree-covered hills alternate with grain-fields and pastures of the flatlands and massive forests, picturesque riverbanks, cliffs and crags in which the water has carved caves. A great many of lakes sparkle at the bottom of hills. There are also very many things that you can experience only in Riga – the unique spirit of medieval Riga and the Art Nouveau District, the taste of Latvian national cuisine and the beautiful and smiling people in the streets. Once you are in Latvia you should definitely visit Sigulda, with its Turaida Castle and a sea resort Jurmala. Though Jurmala is located only 20 km from Riga it will surprise you with fresh pine air and excellent service SPA hotels. Visit a masterpiece of Rastrelli – Rundale Palace and many small towns with their unforgettable charm.
Lithuania
Lithuania is the most southern Baltic country. Lithuania is famous with Curonian Spit - an outstanding example of a landscape of sand dunes, sea resorts: Klaipeda, Palanga and Druskininkai with many SPA hotels, offering high-class facilities and service, a fascinating Hill of Crosses – a religious place of piligrimage, medieval castle Trakai, etc. Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, is a very green city, which lies in a valley surrounded by hills at the confluence of the rivers Vilnius and Neris. With a labyrinth of narrow, cobbled streets that holds many surprises, the Old Town of Vilnius is one of the largest in Central and Eastern Europe.Virtually every architectural style, from Gothic to Post-Modern, is visible in Vilnius. But it is Baroque that dominates. Pagan cult sites, Catholic Baroque churches, Orthodox churches, and traces of the Jewish way of life are all witnesses of the historical multicultural life of the city. | |
